This 275 second exposure (no tracking), at 4:14 am, Aug 12, 2018, already had picked up the brightening morning twilight and a bit of the zodiacal light. 8mm lens at f3.5 on a modified Canon 40D. The Ottawa area is on the horizon about a 1.5 hour drive away.

Trail at top right, being too long and not tracing back to the Perseid radiant is probably a satellite.
