The summer star party season is in full swing. This past weekend, August 9-12 Canada's largest annual Star Party was held, north and west of Toronto. Starfest attracted hundreds of campers with the chance to see beautiful bright fireballs like these. While not quite at the peak of activity, many bright meteors brought cheers from the crowd. This pic is a composite of the 7 brightest meteors, with the Nikon D800 camera @14mm lens on a fixed tripod pointing west. Mars is still trying to steal the scene, but on this night the Perseids won out!
