Details:
The photos show a prominent display of crepuscular and anticrepuscular rays that peaked in intensity 20 minutes after sunset. Distant clouds below the horizon partially blocked sunlight, producing long alternating bright and dark bands across the western sky. When such crepuscular bands or rays grew longer and managed to cross the whole sky, converging at the antissolar point, they became anticrepuscular rays. Curiously, the bright orange fan of crepuscular rays (first 2 photos) only became visible a couple of minutes after the dimmer and rarer anticrepuscular rays had faded (last 2 photos). A Nikon CoolPix P900 camera was used and the photos were taken at 17:45-55 (UTC-3h).
