Details:
This vibrant, complete 22-degree halo occurred at noon when the sun was directly overhead. The halo's brilliant colors created a defining line between the shadowed interior of the halo and the deep blue sky outside of the halo. Today was a 90-degree day, and a monsoon downpour occurred about two hours later; therefore, it was surprising to see this halo indicating the presence of high ice-crystal clouds. A picture of our Grace International School, Chiang Mai, Thailand staff had just been taken by a drone that rapidly ascended straight overhead as it departed, thus as we looked up to wave good-bye to the drone, we saw this amazing 22-degree halo...quite the blessing, indeed!
