Details:
Mars is challenging from the UK at this apparition. The maximum elevation at the moment is around 11 degrees. However, with the dust storm waning, some contrast stretching will reveal some surface features.
At the low elevation, an atmospheric dispersion corrector (ADC) is almost obligatory.
This image was taken with an 8" SCT + ADC + X2 barlow + a Phil Dyer (PD) camera. The best 500 frames of a 2000 frame AVI was used, stacked and sharpened with Registax 6 and processed with GIMP 2.10.
