Details:
I tried to see Mercury during past week, but bad transparency and a small angle of the ecliptic with the horizon made things very difficult. But on Saturday transparency improved and after Sunset I could spot a 1 day old Moon, I tried it with binoculars and ... there it was !! ... Mercury beautifully paired with a thin lovely Moon. The image was taken using a Nikon D40 DSLR, 200mm f/10 lens at ISO200 with a 2 second exposure.
