Details:
I was confused. They had been up there for so long. I thought they were clouds at first, but after taking photos and seeing that they were blue was an instant indication to what they actually were. But upon checking the latest images of noctilucent cloud from NASA's AIM spacecraft, continued the confusion, since there were none above or near Scotland.
