A comparison of images showing the Seeliger effect on Saturn's rings. Notice how the planet is the same brightness in both images whereas the rings are significantly brighter at opposition. This was very obvious in the eyepiece as well, almost like the rings were lit up like a neon sign surrounding the planet. Also notice the ring tilt difference between 2015 and 2018. Celestron C11 with Skyris 132M with color filters.
