Finally a clear day, which allowed me to get back into solar imaging. The image was captured with a Sony alpha 6000 DSLR attached to an 80mm f/6 ED refractor equipped with a 50mm Solarscope Halpha filter + 2x Barlow. This is a single frame exposure @ 1/60 second showing a magnetically active region near the center of the solar disc along with a nice prominence on the southeast quadrant of the Sun. North is up. I tend to like this setup with the DSLR as it tends to show the prominences in a redish pink color - the same color one sees during a total solar eclipse like we had this past August 2017.
