Details:
On the evening of 29 April, the Mutare sky remained clear for just long enough for a two minute sequence of 52 still images to be taken of the completely Full Moon rising above Cecil Kop Nature Reserve. These were used to produce a looped x 15 speed time-lapse animation which shows the Moon rising from the crest of a hill where trees were being blown by the wind and encroached by wisps of pale pink sunset tinted cloud. See how much movement there is in addition to that of the Moon. The animation which lasts for just 8 seconds took several hours to produce as each of the 52 exposures had to be matched and registered to compensate for hand-held camera movement that took place while standing on a ladder to look over a wall to view the Moon. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset scene mode and x48 zoom magnification.
