Details:
I was searching Google Earth to see if I can find an updated image of the Arecibo Observatory from after Hurricane Maria. At first I wasn't surprised that there was a plane flying over the Observatory because after the Hurricane there were a lot of planes and helicopters flying over the Island, but when I checked the date the image was taken, it read Feb 21, 2017, which is way before the Hurricane.
As for the iridescent shadow, it looks to me like this is similar to Glory but instead of the colors surrounding the dark shadow of the plane, here we have the colors within the shadow. I sent the image to Les Cowley to see what he thinks.
Also, the contrail of the plane seems to indicate that the plane was zigzagging or could the upper level winds cause the snake-like contrail?
