Here is another view of STEVE looking west just after midnight April 10 Pacific time. This exposure is 3 secs, but there is so much more detail visible in the purple areas with 1 second and sub-second shutter speeds that look featureless in 5+ second photos. It would be fascinating to put together short-exposure photos of STEVE by scattered photographers from the same moments to build stereo images. My camera clocks are rarely accurate, so after events like this I photograph a coordinated phone or internet clock showing seconds.
