We live in the high desert of Southern California and often see lenticular clouds, but this one was especially appealing. Perhaps because of the nearby mountain range, we often see saucer-shaped clouds in this same spot.

I saw this lenticular cloud coming my way on Saturday... I was going to get my camera, but got distracted and by the time I remembered it had dissipated. I saw a very interesting very large one in the evening when I was walking my dogs, but again I didnt have my camera ready.
I like you photo with the rocks in the foreground :)
