Details:
I was convinced this was a rocket trail, but I can't find any reference to one occurring. If not a rocket trail, then these are ice clouds that started the day in western Idaho, passed through the entire state of Nevada, and made it to southern California in time for the sunset. If these are nacreous clouds, we absolutely NEVER get these and such a low latitude. So, what was this? Rocket launch or super-rare cloud species?

There must have been some rocket launch, maybe some military test? There are other images submitted, so it must have been a widespread phenomenon.
