Another shot from last night as I was out waiting for some light action from the forecasted high speed solar wind. The auoras was really strong early in the afternoon even before we had proper darkness here at 69N in Tromsø, Norway. We know we are heading towards solar minimum, and fewer spots and flares on the sun, but still I have to say this has been a very good season with strong auroras. Particularly at the beginning of the season, and now towards the end of the season. We know equnioxes are particularly avtive. Once again, this was proven to me. Luckily it wasn't too cold either, just cosy -8C in Tromsø :)
