Details:
I keep a pretty close eye on the solar wind, and I noticed that the Bt was climbing and the Bz was falling time to head out. Somewhere I read that a filament had released from the sun on March 06, 2018, so I thought that this is the arrival. Heading NW of Calgary to the Twisted Ponds area I arrived at 0230 UTC, to my surprise the aurora was out and active. I set up my camera's and went to work 3300 images later I head home. I thought while I was shooting that Steve had paid a visit to the NW and lo and behold when I got home there he was I was even lucky enough to be in one of the pictures.
