Details:
On the south pole of the sun, there is quite an abundant amount of facule visible in white light. Facule are White hot spots brighter than the surrounding convection cells. This is pretty unusual, and possibly significant. Images provided by SDO https://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/assets/img/latest/latest_4096_HMII.jpg
