Here are a couple of panoramas from Sunday night, Feb 18, from Churchill Manitoba, from the Northern Studies Centre, home of the Explore.org aurora webcam. But these are from my camera taken by a cold photographer (me!) at -35° C temperatures. We had a superb display early in the evening as the sky was darkening, with the aurora bright in the deep twilight. The show continued until about 9:30 pm CST but then faded to a diffuse glow over the sky. The geomagnetic storm had ended, but gave us a good show during convenient evening hours. One panorama is looking north toward the classic auroral oval across the northern horizon with me posing for a panoramic selfie. The other panorama is looking east to the auroral curtains to the left of Orion and the winter sky rising over the Churchill Rocket Range.
