Details:
The Sun was devoid of sunspots but the disc was cleanly seen. Skies at my hotel location 27 stories above the ground were a bit polluted but completely void of cloud. Only a maximum of about 7% of the Sun was covered from here but it was an impressive sight with other hotel guests interested to see what I was photographing with a Takahashi 60c
