Details:
Just finished another Lights Over Lapland 4 day tour and the aurora saved the best till last! I have been convincing the clients in Abisko we don't really need to follow the KP index and tonight was a brilliant example. KP stayed between 0.5 and 1 therefore there should be no aurora. I saw the Bz drop south and stay south and therefore the solar wind from the recent coronal hole came flooding in. In this shot we have green, pink and blue aurora! Showing some some strong geomagnetic activity.
