Details:
A crown of northern lights visually connects the Milky Way Galaxy up high with Denali down low (mountain in lower left, 1st photo) on February 4, 2018 from 11 pm-to-midnight AKST from my Hatcher Pass cabin in Alaska. Approximately 5 hours after Super Bowl 52 ended a gust of solar wind from the “polar crown coronal hole” buffeted earth as predicted. The results were a very dazzling post-Super Bowl highlight! In the first photo I stitched together several images taken from the cabin deck to create this 180° panoramic view. The 2nd photo is me holding up my octagonal log cabin as the auroras dance overhead.
