Details:
I was flying for Pittsburgh to Iceland on my way home from visiting from mother in law who has not been well. I made sure to sit on the left hand side of the aircraft just in case of aurora. Before we took off I checked space weather and saw a coronal hole might give us some luck and sure enough the sky exploded with light. I and several other passengers were mesmerised by this stunning display.
