Details:
spaceweather.com warned us that a geomagnetic storm was oncoming for 13 January, and I got excited because it would mean nice Auroras on my last night up here in Finnish Lapland. The weather was very challenging, but I managed to find clear sky, and the Auroras didn't disappoint at all! Despite a mostly positive Bz, we got surprisingly bright Auroras in the sky, which contrasted so nicely against the black background of space. My Australian guests were seeing this for the first time and were totally in awe... and so was I! Once again, the far North has delivered in terms of Auroras. I cannot wait to return in March!
