Details:
After a week of bad weather, I was very excited to see that clouds were finally going to leave the north of Finnish Lapland, coinciding with the arrival of a stream of faster solar wind from a coronal hole.
Unfortunately, at nightfall around 5 PM local time, the value of Bz was positive.... and remained this way until about 2 AM, only then slightly shifting south before getting positive again.
Finally, after 3 AM local time, the Bz turned negative for a longer period of time, ending the night long wait for strong and fast Auroras.
I took these 4 pictures between 3:30 and 4:00 AM local time.
