Details:
Tonight our planet reaches its closet proximity to the Sun, although citizens from Canada and northern USA may doubt it. The images were obtained 23 hours past aphelion last july and 7 hours before perihelion today, a negligible difference for all practical purposes. The camera used was a Canon SX-60HS with a solar filter, focal length was the same. Right hand Sun is 3.3% bigger than left one.
