Details:
Light clouds last near for New Years' that degraded photography a bit but on the plus side produced a nice starry sky lunar halo. This pair of images, the halo was acquired with a Nikon D810 and a 15 mm Irex lens with the image shown a 4 image HDR that brings out the surrounding Orion, Gemini, Taurus, M45, and Sirius. The Supermoon image is a 9 image stack in HDR acquired with a Questar telescope and a Nikon D850. Images acquired shortly before midnight, New Year.
Possibly clearer skies tonight for the exact full Supermoon.
