Details:
Here are some interesting views of the almost Full Supermoon taken yesterday (New Years Eve) and early this morning (New Years Day). The first picture shows the Moon rising behind a satellite dish on the roof of my house at 18.39 LT. The second image is a composite of four reflections of the Moon from absolutely calm water in my swimming pool at 20.00 LT with blue underwater lighting switched on. The third image taken at 03.36 is of the Moon descending behind some thin veils of cloud to produce a beautiful halo. The final mosaic shows the Moon setting behind some hills to the North of Christmas Pass at 04.00. Was lucky be able to take advantage of clear tranquil conditions ahead of rain which is now (at 16.00) starting to fall and may hide this evening’s first and largest Full Supermoon of 2018. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset and night scene modes with up to x60 zoom magnification.
