Comet C/2017 T1 (Heinze) on 2017-Dec-29 08:03:33 UTC showed a gently curved dust tail. The comet currently has very high sky motion as it approaches Earth on 2018 Jan-04. This required stacking many short exposures to get the detail in this image. Stack 48 x 12 seconds Sky Motion: 11.24"/min in PA 334.9° Focal Length = 1821.5mm Rotation = 0.05° Pixel Size: 2.04" x 2.04", Meade Telescope 0.3-m Schmidt-Cassegrain at f/6.3 CCD SBIG ST-8XME R Band filter Field of view 26.0' x 17.3' North up, east left. Comet located in constellation Cancer
