During the second day of the intermittent geomagnetic sub storms and unrest, where the solar wind was disturbing the Earth magnetic field on and off, I went during the late hours of December 17 and early hours of December 18, for another chase of the lights. Looking over the photos I took, what struck me and in the same time was a pleasant surprise, the abundance of the small meteors and few very large fireballs crossing the sky. I am not entirely sure where are those guys coming from, if they are from what is left of the Gemini Meteor Shower or from the end of its tail or basically just “ ordinary” meteors up there. One way or the other, they were in large numbers and pretty much showed up most of the night. Those are the ones I caught, but many more were flying all over the Kakwa sky. On a technical note, I used two cameras (info below), so only two large fireballs posted here are taken with both cameras. Please enjoy them and feel free to share.
