With all the enthusiasm I got knowing the G2 prediction for a magnificent storm could be real I start chasing the lights on the night of December 5th, 2017. The beginning of the chase wasn’t promising, driving through a dense cloudy area over 140km where I got first pocket of clear sky and could see the lights dancing. The joy didn’t last for long, after around 30 minutes the clouds were closing in, forcing me to keep driving north. After 2 hours and a half and 200 Km extra I finally passed the clouds and was enjoying the clear skies and aurora dancing, not as was predicted a G2 but a decent show most washed away by the bright moon. To my surprise after checking my files I was delighted to have in the same frame a huge meteor accompanying by the Lady Aurora under the biggest and brightest moon of the 2017.
