A Thanksgiving trip to Fairbanks to observe the aurora unfortunately timed for quiet Kp2 activity and clouds missing the prior day's activity. Even so the Kp2 aurora had its charms. Shown is a fisheye image of the max aurora observed, a wide angle view of the same, and the prior night's aurora lighting hazy clouds casting a green glow across the sky.
