Details:
This morning (25 November), 24 hours after the new President of Zimbabwe was sworn in, a magnificent Sun Halo appeared over Mutare which lasted for over an hour. For some the Sun symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ and the circle symbolizes a covenant. It is quite unusual for a Sun Halo to persist for such a long time - perhaps this marks the beginning of a new dawn for this country? Here are four pictures of this beautiful event. We hope for better times for your country too! Anyway, this beautiful halo display is a fine present of Nature. We see the 22 degrees ring around the high sun, and a very narrow-closing circumscribed halo, which is still brightening the ring in its upper and lower sections. And far below the sun, there is the fainter rainbow-coloured halo which is likely the circumhorizontal arc and/or 46 degrees infralateral arc. Thanks for sharing your beautiful images!
