Details:
The photos, taken with a Sony DSC-HX300 camera, show Mercury, Saturn, the tail of Scorpius and some stars of Ophiuchus at 20:00 (UTC-2h) setting over the West-southwestern horizon of Rio. At 20° East elongation, the elusive planet was only 2.6° away from Antares. Identification of the brightest objects in the images are provided near the end of the 22-frame animation and in the second item.
