Details:
My friends on the Big Island of Hawaii alerted me that there were some good thunderstorms brewing around the islands last night. I knew I had to check the Gemini CloudCam on the summit of Maunakea first thing this morning to see if it captured any Transient Luminous Events such as Gigantic Jets or Red Sprites. No jets but there were a few Red Sprites captured over the course of the evening. The adaptive optic lasers from Keck and the well defined mesospheric gravity waves completed the scene!
