Details:
The fast flowing solar wind spewing from a large coronal hole arrived with gusto on September 27th, sparking a G3 geomagnetic storm, fuelling bright aurorae even to lower latitudes around the globe. My magnetometer burst into life as the fast flowing plasma slammed into Earth's magnetic bubble, making our own magnetic field ring like a bell.
