Details:
A hazy sunset to the west of Mutare provided a chance to glimpse single sunspot AR 2680 near the western limb of the sun before it set behind some trees on the summit of Murahwa Mountain (first two pictures). There was so much smoke haze in the sky from dry season burning (third picture) that the setting sun was too dim to cast shadows and could be photographed directly without a solar filter. The last picture shows it about to disappear below the horizon. The camera used was a hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset scene mode with up to x60 zoom magnification.
