Details:
It's been a quiet week here in Iceland, after missing the bulk of the X flare activity on September 8th we were so happy to see news of a possible glancing blow from a departing sunspot, and an incoming coronal hole. We were on the lookout for early arrival and these are the resulting photos. We got some lovely coronas directly overhead, and lots of activity all over the sky. It didn't hold for long but it was just beautiful! Can't wait to see what the coronal stream brings.
