Details:
A proton storm generated by the explosive force of an X8 solar flare (originating at AR2673) didn't only produce a neutron ground level event, or GLE(increased neutron count)as reported on SpaceWeather.com, it also appears to have been geoeffective, producing a dip in the local magnetic declination, as detected on my magnetometer here in the UK, and others. The time correlation would be remarkable if the events were not in some way connected.
