Details:
After receiving the alert from SpaceWeather, as soon as I stepped outside to image the aurora the other evening a long 'earth-grazing' meteor streaked overhead. Considering it a good sign, little did I know at the time that it would turn out to be a bit of foreshadowing as well; as having just examined some of the images I had taken (unfortunately in addition to some local air traffic), I had been lucky enough to capture a meteor in front of the auroral display. As a point of reference, the bright star near the top center of the image linked below is Polaris (i.e. the North Star). Thx. again SpaceWeather!
