Details:
SPECTACULAR! Ribbons and beams were moving very fast, and there were even very rapid, pulsating bands of "sheet lightning" type aurora shooting upwards. There were reports from people around Hobart who were hearing the aurora, like a deep, low, booming, thundery sound. My friends and I also heard it (we thought we were the only ones until we heard the other reports.) I shot on ISO 100 for much of the night and could shoot a 1 sec exposure on ISO 800 (f/1.8)! CRAZY!
