I decided to improve my depiction of the moon's shadow during the 21 August 2017 total solar eclipse by including 500 exposures taken at 0.5 sec interval with exposure of 1/30s, with iso ranging from 100 to 1600 (equivalent of 4 f-stops) in automatic mode on my action cam. https://www.flickr.com/photos/79387036@N07/36848362246/in/dateposted/ You can see and read about my technique here: www.flickr.com/photos/79387036@N07/36875299011/in/photost... Just remember lighter in the image represents darker (shadow). Darker represents little change in lighting from the pre-totality daylight that is used in a frame by frame difference comparison. When the dark band crossed the sun above center top at the end of the clip, totality ends. Anyway, it sounds complicated but the result is actually quite vivid.
