What a fast mover. Minor planet Florence is now near earth and around 8-9mag bright. If you do not want star trails you need short exposure times. Image taken on August 29 UT 20.15 50x15sec 12"/4 Newton and CCD

What is that other object that flashes across the image from right to left?
I think Florence was moving at 20arcsec/hour on Aug. 29.9UT.
Your track of Florence is 50x15sec=12.5minutes so 250arcsec long.
The object is just over half the Florence track? So, about 130arcsec.
But it moves this far in 15seconds i.e. 9arcsec/sec.
This is perhaps a hundred times slower than ISS when it is 400km away.
So does this mean the object is 100 x 400 = 40,000 km away!?
What could it be!?
