Details:
The new active region (AR2674) emerging around the eastern limb is an impressively large sunspot group. I captured this image in hydrogen alpha light (656.3nm) from my back yard in the UK a few minutes before the Sun disappeared from view, as it was getting late in the day. Given its size, it's an ideal target for amateur solar astronomers.
