Finally with the eastern and western limbs of the actual corona added in! As you can see from the title, I'm really done processing! That's a wrap! Thanks to all that view, and or as addicted as I, enjoy!

Your magnificent eclipse picture in website SpaceWeather awakes my admiration, because it resembles accurately my visual impression of the butterfly-shaped corona that I observed in eastern Idaho, Granite Creek Ranch.
Clearly you processed a number of frames of varying exposure time into one striking composite. Phantastic!

Thank you for your kind words Wil! You are correct sir; this composite features 9 photos with exposures varying from 1/400 of a second to 5 seconds, @ ISO 100 with a Canon T4i, through a Canon 300 mm f4L @ f11, with a 1.4 tele-converter,(effective focal length at 672 mm and f16 with tele-converter and crop body figured in) all piggybacked on a Celestron CGEM mount! I stopped the processing before it took on that grainy, digital, look. I, like you, prefer the natural look. I want as much detail as possible, while retaining the look it had that wonderful day!
