Details:
Small hot spot in the north east (lower right hand corner). Usually these are of short duration but this one was still there, no bigger but no smaller at 17:00 UTC.

Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, 1/250 sec. East and West are reversed.

The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.
