Noctilucent clouds and lighting. 2017 is not shaping up to be a good year for noctilucent clouds. The season started late, there were not many spectacular displays, and in Poland the rainy weather was not conducive to observation. But at the end of the season nature made a beautiful show. Two phenomena in one place, hot lightings like a O-type star and on the other hand, cold noctilucent clouds , made of ice that crystallizes at the edge of space where the temperature is -160o C. Admittly the NLC display was poor, but the storm cell was amazing. These photos I took between dusk and midnight.
