Details:
On the morning of 8 July at 06.57 LT the rising sun broke through a bank of clearing cloud above Cecil Kop Nature Reserve near Mutare. In the first surreal photograph, taken at just the right moment when the cloud and mist were not too thick to obscure it, complex sunspot AR2665 and its chain of smaller cores is clearly visible. The second distant view was taken just after the sun first appeared. The camera used was a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset scene mode.
