Details:
First day of my mission at Project PoSSUM in High Level Alberta: I haven't been disappointed! We drove 8 hours to the remote town of High Level in the northern part of Alberta, Canada. We barely settled down, as we had our first mission briefing prior to the flight mission. As the weather was quiet alright, we confirmed the flight and headed to the airport to get the plane, crew and equipment ready. The team took off at around 11:45pm and flew for under 3 hours. It was a huge success and we saw noctilucent clouds, as well as a beautiful display of aurora borealis! And I thought it would be too bright to see them, and now we got both shows! A rare sight to behold and that I will never forget! What an incredible start to an adventure. Sony a7rII, Canon 6D High Level, Alberta, Canada (58.5 deg. N) 12:30-2:45am, 25.06.17
