Details:
I went out today and shot some solar pics with the 6" Explore Scientific under good seeing. Here's a 4 piece Mosaic. Exlpore Scientific AR152mm f/6.5 native FR at 988mm FL. With DAYSTAR FILTERS QUARK Chromosphere @ 4.3x, EFL = f/28 or 4,248mm EFL. Shot with ZWO ASI174mm. 3,000 frames @ 5.2ms each. 8% stacked based on Quality Graph in AS!2. Custom Wavelets applied in Registax6. Mosaic Cropped & aligned in Adobe Photoshop PSCS2. False color added in The Gimp. I like this image because it illustrates the intense magnetic fields around Active Regions. It stands out in stark contrast to the areas removed from the disturbance around the perimeter of the image.
