Details:
I work at Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park and was pleased to see a display of auroras as the sky darkened. Most interesting was this purplish, stationary arc (perhaps Steve?) visible to the northwest that I was able to capture at a pullout looking toward Midway Geyser Basin. I then headed to catch an eruption of Old Faithful with the green and purple glow just above the horizon. Canon Rebel T3i #1: f/3.5, ISO 800, 18 mm, 15 s #2: f/3.5, ISO 1600, 18 mm, 10 s
